Fully Loaded Chew Breaks into Retail, Disrupts Big Tobacco
Akron, Ohio— Fully Loaded Chew (“FLC”), a tobacco-free dip manufacturer, has
moved its products from online-only to store shelves in mid-2019 and experienced exponential retail growth as a result. Its products are now found in nearly 4,000 stores in the US and Canada, with the goal of being in 10,000 stores by year's end. This massive success has captured a share of the rapidly expanding nicotine alternatives market.
FLC started selling its tins solely online. Since breaking into retail last year, the company has crossed production of 1 million tins annually.
New-wave nicotine alternatives are a fast-growing industry. Vapes and e-cigarettes alone net billions in revenue each year. The feel of smoking replicated by vapes made them a popular alternative to smoking tobacco.
Today, FLC is the largest tobacco-free dip manufacturer challenging the smokeless tobacco market, which generated $4.4 billion in revenue in the US in 2018, according to a Federal Trade Commission report.
FLC’s products replicate the texture and taste of traditional dip using a mixture of
kuzdu roots and spearmint leaves with an infusion of laboratory-created nicotine. The company also offers nicotine-free tins of its chew.
“We’re the only product like this on shelves, and it’s paying off,” says Sean Linton, president at FLC. “There’s still millions of users who would switch to our stuff, but have yet to try it.”
